Knowledge Base

Each residence is allowed two accepted bulk items per week on their regular collection day.  This includes items such as: appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves), box springs and mattresses, furniture, hot water tanks, toilets and windows.  The list of bulk items that are not accepted curbside includes: air conditioners, automobile parts, construction materials, e-waste (e.g., computers and televisions), refrigerators and tires.  For additional information about disposing of unaccepted items, please visit the drop-off resources and waste disposal resources pages @ https://pittsburghpa.gov/dpw/drop-off resources and https://pittsburghpa.gov/dpw/disposal-resources/.
