Important Information about V.I.T.A - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday February 1 until Friday April 15, 2016 CLOSED FRIDAY MARCH 25, 2016 – GOOD FRIDAY HOLIDAY • Monday – Wednesday – Thursday only • Appointment cards will be handed out beginning at 8:30 am. Only 6 returns will be done per day per volunteer – 20 maximum. • You can make an appointment for another day and drop off service will be available if you have all the correct information. • Only 1 tax return per person. Income limit is $52,000.00 • REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW (no exceptions) – you must show a current valid Drivers License, current valid State ID, or a current valid Student ID. Also, a SOCIAL SECURITY CARD for every person listed on the return. • ANY DISTURBANCE’S – security will be called, and you will be asked to leave - immediately. • IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service – 1-877-777-4778. • No State of PA Tax return completed unless you have your Federal Tax return completed by V.I.T.A. State of PA – Tax Office – 411 7th Ave – Rm 240 Chamber of Commerce Building – 412-565-7540 • V.I.T.A will not offer the service to sign up individuals for the HEALTH CARE MARKET PLACE.
