The City of Pittsburgh, in partnership with PennDot and The Federal Highway Commission, is starting a project to make several improvements to the intersection of Wenzell Ave and Banksville Road. Plans include:

• Widening Wenzell Ave to include a left turn lane
• Widening Carnahan Road to inlcude a left turn lane
• Upgrading signals
• Installing new ramps, sidewalks and crosswalks to be more ADA friendly
• Improving culvert and stream banks to reduce flooding
