Are there limitations on recycling?
- Shredded paper is no longer accepted curbside. It can be dropped off at any of the drop-off centers, but it must be secured in a paper bag. Pizza boxes with grease spots cannot be recycled but any clean portion of the box can be separated and recycled.
- Hard-to-recycle items such as computers and TV's are recyclable by drop-off appt in the Strip District on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly with Pennsylvania Resources Council. For electronics at PRC events, disposal is $0.35 per pound to recycle
