- An occupancy permit is a document that signifies that a building surveyor is satisfied with and has approved your building as being suitable for occupation. Most properties already have one on file.
- An occupancy permit is required for almost all changes to a plot of land.
- Note: an occupancy permit is not required for a sign less than four square feet in area, or for the commercial cultivation of plants or plantings.
